Nomination statement
Pindar Wong is the pioneer of Internet in Hong Kong, by starrting the first ISP on Hong Kong, organized APRICOT conference in Asia, Chaired Asia & Pacific Internet Association and joined ICANN as a board member, then became Vice Chair of AtLarge Study Committee (ALSC) of ICANN. He has good understanding of technical and business aspects of Internet in Asia, but he also has good perspective of user participation in Internet governance matters such as ICANN as his involvement with ALSC demonstrates. He is a Chinese, Hong Kong citizen but was educated in UK and has good understanding of Asian culture and people.
